About Root Nine
Who says cookies need eggs and butter anyway? That was one of my early thoughts as I began focusing on vegan baking professionally after having led pastry teams in NYC restaurants.
When I launched Root Nine in 2019, I was determined to develop recipes that brought all of the flavor and taste experience of a traditional gourmet cookie, without dairy, processed or artificial ingredients.
We've sold wholesale and in retail, but getting to serve and hear from customers directly is a huge joy. New flavor formulation is one of our favorite parts of the job, and we hope to keep raising the bar with fun and unexpected combinations.
